“Brooklyn disco sensation Midnight Magic is back on Soul Clap Records with a two tracker of dance floor deliciousness that will leave you squealing “Give Me!”. Here, the band unleashes its full potential, bandstand stacked with its core members as well as horn section and live percussion. "Give Me A Reason” follows more closely to Midnight Magic’s timeless signature sound with charging disco drums, futuristic synth work, tight horn line and lead singer Tiffany Roth’s dubbed out vocal playfulness.

Then on "Give Me Life" the mood deepens while the tension grows. This more electronic departure shines its light on an edgier baseline which pulsates over synths and pads that are entirely triumphant but also at times almost haunting.

More in producer Morgan Wiley's words, “Give Me a Reason’ was written trying to capture the live sound of the band mixed with a with boogie feel. ‘You Give Me Life’ was produced using only drum machines and synthesizers, so we thought the 2 tracks contrasted each other well, and would make an interesting pairing for this release.”
